Indonesia First Included as a Country for Roaming ON Service
Voice call rates in Bali are 97% cheaper than before
KT announced on the 13th that it is extending its 'Roaming ON' service to Indonesia, which applies overseas voice call rates of 1.98 won per second, the same as in Korea. With this, the number of countries where KT's Roaming ON is available has reached 13.

With the Roaming ON service applied in Indonesia, voice call rates become up to 97% cheaper. In the past, making a voice call from Indonesia to Korea cost 3,571 won per minute. However, with the application of Roaming ON, the cost is now only 119 won per minute or 1,188 won for 10 minutes. Roaming ON is automatically applied to all KT subscribers without the need for a separate application.

With Indonesia included in the Roaming ON service countries, the burden of call charges for KT customers traveling to support the Asian Games (August 18–September 2) is expected to be significantly reduced. You can also make calls without any hassle in Bali, a popular vacation destination.

KT is holding a Roaming ON quiz event on its website until the 31st of this month and will provide Starbucks Americanos to 2,000 winners selected by lottery.

Park Hyun-jin, Senior Vice President and Head of KT’s Wired and Wireless Business Division, said, “Since the launch of Roaming ON, users’ voice call volume has increased by about 75%, and customers are conveniently using voice calls overseas,” adding, “We will continue to expand the number of countries covered so that all KT customers can make calls anywhere in the world at domestic rates without any burden.”
