Intel Launches NUC Family Equipped with 8th Gen Core Processors

On August 16, Intel launched a new line of Intel NUC kits and NUC mini PCs equipped with 8th Gen Intel Core processors. With the launch of these NUC products, Intel is expected to provide a wider range of options for mainstream computing. The Intel NUC delivers desktop performance in a compact form factor, making it suitable for PC enthusiasts of all levels, regardless of location.
Intel NUC Kit
The Intel NUC kits codenamed 'Bean Canyon'—specifically the NUC8i7BEH, NUC8i5BEH, NUC8i5BEK, NUC8i3BEH, and NUC8i3BEK—feature 8th Gen Intel Core i7, i5, or i3 processors known as 'Coffee Lake-U' and Intel Iris® graphics with eDRAM. By incorporating these features, they support home theater systems, run content creator boxes, and even function as personal voice assistants. System integrators and DIY users can customize their systems with these new Intel NUC kits by selecting storage, memory, and operating systems to suit their preferences. Intel NUC kits with such flexibility offer a wide range of options in terms of price and performance, meeting the computing needs of most mainstream users in an ultra-compact form factor.
Intel NUC Mini PC
The new Intel NUC mini PC codenamed 'Crimson Canyon' NUC8i3CYSM and NUC8i3CYSN are designed based on a proper balance between performance and affordability. They are also an affordable mainstream gaming option for enjoying popular games, including 'League of Legends', 'TF2', and 'Counter-Strike: Global Offensive', at 1080p.
Equipped with the 8th Gen Intel Core Canyon Lake i3-8121U processor, this new family of NUC PCs is the first mainstream NUC product to feature discrete graphics. This product line comes with 1TB of storage, 4GB or 8GB of memory, Windows® 10 Home, Intel's Wireless-AC 9560 CNVi 802.11ac WiFi+Bluetooth 5 solution, two HDMI 2.0a outputs, and four USB 3.0 ports. Users can save space by installing the Intel NUC Mini PC, which packs all of this into a palm-sized form factor, behind the monitor or under the desk.
The Intel NUC offers high-performance capabilities along with a space-saving design, making it a mini PC suitable for home theaters, home offices, entry-level gaming, or as a desktop replacement when space is a concern. These new NUCs provide several new options to meet a wide range of computing needs.
The new Intel NUC Kit and Intel NUC Mini PC products are scheduled to be sold worldwide through Intel distributors and online retailers starting this September.
