On September 27, KT announced that it had opened an integrated API (Application Programming Interface) portal site, 'API Link', to enable developers and partners to easily and quickly utilize KT's various platform APIs.

An API is a collection of source codes that enable developers to develop applications easily and quickly, and is used by platform operators to provide services internally and externally.

The recently opened 'API Link' provides APIs by integrating API portal sites that were previously built for each platform, helping developers and partners implement services more easily and conveniently.

Leveraging existing APIs is gaining traction across various sectors as a way to meet evolving customer demands. To support developers' creative and rapid service development, KT has launched the API Link website, where users can view and use the APIs for its platforms at a glance.

API Link provides APIs for various platforms, including user authentication, artificial intelligence (AI), Ucloud, and IoT, provided by KT, and can be easily searched within the site. KT provides API guides and SDKs (Software Development Kits) to enable developers to quickly develop a variety of applications using APIs. Developers using the SDKs are expected to see development times reduced by up to 50% compared to previous versions.

Additionally, API Link is designed as a responsive web interface that automatically adjusts screen size based on the display type. Developers can access it from a variety of devices, not just PCs, allowing them to receive development support anytime, anywhere.

Most of the open APIs within API Link are provided free of charge, and detailed information can be found on the API Link homepage (apiLink.kt.co.kr).

Kim Seung-woon, managing director of KT IT Planning Office's Common Platform Division, said, "With the opening of this 'API Link' site, we can now provide platform business quickly by connecting KT's platform resources with the technological capabilities of developers and partners." He added, "Going forward, KT will expand the areas in which we can cooperate with developers and partners by expanding the provision of platform APIs in various fields such as blockchain and 5G."
