"Apple iTunes" is coming into "Samsung Smart TVs"

Samsung Electronics and Apple have joined forces not only in the components sector but also in the finished product sector.
On the 6th (local time), Samsung Electronics, in collaboration with Apple, will be the first in the industry to simultaneously feature iTunes Movies & TV Shows (hereinafter iTunes) and AirPlay 2 on a smart TV.
This collaboration marks the first time iTunes is being installed on a third-party device other than Apple's.
Users around the world who own new Samsung Smart TVs, including software updates for products released in the first half of 2018, will be able to easily enjoy iTunes and AirPlay features on their TVs without connecting separate devices starting in the first half of this year. In particular, this is the first time iTunes has been installed on a third-party device other than Apple's.
Samsung Smart TV users can easily purchase tens of thousands of diverse movies and TV programs, including 4K HDR movies from the iTunes Store, through the iTunes Video app and enjoy them on a large screen, and can also easily connect and watch content stored in their personal iTunes library with the TV.
In addition, iTunes is organically linked with Samsung Smart TV's built-in features, such as Universal Guide, New Bixby, and Search, allowing users to easily and quickly search for and watch content.
Samsung Smart TVs also support AirPlay 2, allowing you to more conveniently stream videos, music, and photos stored on various iOS devices.

This collaboration with Apple is the result of Samsung Electronics equipping its smart TVs with the open-source platform Tizen for user convenience and pursuing connectivity with all devices regardless of the OS.
