Samsung Electronics will unveil a number of future lifestyle solutions that will transform people's daily lives based on AI and 5G under the theme of 'Intelligence of Things for Everyone' at CES 2019, the world's largest electronics show held in Las Vegas, USA from today to the 11th.
Samsung Electronics will be showcasing its "Connected Solution" centered around the "New Bixby" and innovative products from each business division at its 3,368㎡ (approximately 1,021 pyeong) exhibition hall, the largest among the participating companies, under the concept of "Samsung City."

At the entrance to the Samsung Electronics exhibition hall, a façade composed of ultra-large LED signage will be installed, symbolizing the image of a future city created by cutting-edge technology, and a video featuring Samsung Electronics' strategic products and brand image will be shown to commemorate the company's 50th anniversary.


◇A new lifestyle proposal centered around the new Bixby
Samsung Electronics is developing the intelligence platform New Bixby and IoT technology. Based on this, we present a connected solution that links various Samsung devices.

Samsung Electronics focused on how AI technology allows each connected device to provide personalized services tailored to individual lifestyles and preferences (Tailored to your daily life), enriching users' daily lives. Furthermore, the company will showcase various next-generation AI projects that enhance quality of life.

The new Bixby-powered AI speaker, Galaxy Home, allows users to more easily control various devices in the home. Furthermore, it combines visual information with voice commands through smart TVs and Family Hub screens, providing a richer AI experience.

For example, rather than just providing audio guidance when meditating, a TV can visually demonstrate the movements and automatically control lighting, music, and temperature suitable for meditation, allowing for a more immersive meditation experience.

At this exhibition, Samsung Electronics also emphasized services that seamlessly connect everyday experiences in each space, such as home, office, and vehicle, as well as while on the move.
You can continue listening to the music you were listening to at home in your car, and if you stop by the market on your way home, you can check the inside of the Family Hub refrigerator through the vehicle's 'digital cockpit' screen and purchase any groceries you are running low on. When you get home, you can easily cook the recipes recommended by Family Hub by sending them to the oven.

Samsung Electronics also emphasizes home AI solutions tailored to residential spaces, focusing on the Galaxy Home and Family Hub. The Family Hub has won a CES Innovation Award for four consecutive years, showcasing its improved AI technology each year.

The 2019 Family Hub, based on the expandability of the new Bixby, can control third-party services that are not built into the device with voice, and the 'Smart View' function that links with mobile devices has been expanded to include operations such as app control, not just simple mirroring.

This product recognizes the user's distance and displays a screen saver screen on the display when the user is far away to enhance the interior effect, and when the user approaches, it switches to the 'Family Board' home screen for family communication.

Samsung Electronics is also unveiling a new large-capacity drum washing machine that significantly reduces washing time and enhances AI functionality. This product won a CES Innovation Award as a strategic product that will strengthen Samsung Electronics' leadership in the North American washing machine market this year.

This washing machine connects to the 'SmartThings' app to recommend the optimal washing course based on the condition of the clothes and automatically sets the washing time to the desired end time. In addition to self-diagnosing the product's condition, a new 'Auto Cycle Link' function has been added to suggest the optimal drying course at the end of the wash cycle.


◇Micro LED, the evolution of QLED 8K, and the future of displays.
Samsung Electronics is solidifying its two-track strategy of 'Micro LED' and 'QLED 8K' and expanding its 'QLED 8K' lineup to fully attack the 8K market worldwide.
"QLED 8K" is receiving rave reviews for its enhanced picture quality, sound, and smart features, all powered by AI technology. The exhibition hall is designed to allow visitors to experience each of these strengths. In particular, Samsung's proprietary semiconductor-based AI picture quality engine, the "Quantum Processor 8K," won an Innovation Award at this year's CES.

The 2019 Samsung Smart TV is highly anticipated as it is the first in the industry to support both iTunes and AirPlay 2 through a collaboration with Apple.

Samsung Electronics is also introducing new models of lifestyle TVs, 'The Frame' and 'Serif TV', that reflect millennial trends. These products feature QLED displays, offering exceptional interior design effects and differentiated picture quality. Notably, the 2019 Serif TV won a CES Innovation Award.

Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics is actively exploring new markets by creating a separate exhibition hall centered around its new micro LED models and conducting consultations with business partners.

In addition, Samsung Electronics will exhibit the 49-inch 'QLED Gaming Monitor (CRG9)', which won the Best Innovation Award in the Computer Peripherals category and the Innovation Award in the Gaming category for being the first curved monitor to apply a 120hz dual QHD display, and the 32-inch 'Graphics Professional Monitor (UR59C)', which won the Innovation Award for being the world's first curved monitor to apply 4K resolution.


◇Presenting a future lifestyle transformed by 5G mobile communications
Samsung Electronics is creating a space where people can experience firsthand how their future lives will change through 5G.

Samsung Electronics will highlight its advanced technology in the 5G mobile communications field by displaying various types of base stations and IoT-supporting devices currently in use for 5G commercial services in Korea and the United States, as well as smartphone-type terminals that were introduced in December of last year. It also presents a vision of future smart cities, smart farms, and smart factories made possible by 5G mobile communications.
In addition, various new 2019 products will be exhibited, including the Galaxy Home, an AI speaker that serves as a hub for home IoT with rich sound, the 'Samsung Notebook Pen S' that further enhances consumer usability with an upgraded S Pen and 360-degree rotating touch display, and the 'Samsung Notebook Odyssey', a notebook specialized for gaming.

In the Galaxy Zone, a separate space, visitors can experience the Galaxy Note 9 and VR, and feel the innovative values and philosophy of the Galaxy brand through the Monument commemorating the 31st anniversary of Samsung Mobile and the 10th anniversary of Galaxy.


◇ 'Digital Cockpit 2019' Enhances Ease of Use and Connectivity
Samsung Electronics, which first introduced the 'Digital Cockpit' last year, which combines Samsung's IT technology with Harman's automotive electronics technology, is exhibiting the 'Digital Cockpit 2019', which has been further upgraded in terms of user experience and safety.
Samsung's 'Digital Cockpit' has three more screens than the previous year, for a total of six screens, and provides an optimized environment and infotainment system for each individual seat.

Samsung Electronics plans to widely publicize the advantages of ultra-gap products that only Samsung Electronics can provide by exhibiting the following 2019 CES Innovation Award winners: ▲256 gigabyte (GB) 3D stacked (3DS) DDR4 server DRAM module (RDIMM), ▲3.84 terabyte (TB) capacity Z-SSD, ▲512 gigabyte (GB) embedded Universal Flash Storage (eUFS) for vehicles, ▲light source package for LED lighting, and ▲smart lighting sensor module.
