Samsung Electronics showcases its full lineup of wind-free air conditioners at North America's largest air conditioning exhibition, targeting the North American market.

Samsung Electronics announced on the 15th that it will participate in the 'AHR Expo (The International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition)' held in Atlanta, Georgia, USA from the 14th to the 16th, and will showcase a number of innovative air conditioning solutions targeting the North American market, including wind-free air conditioners.
AHR Expo is the largest HVAC exhibition in North America, hosted by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). Over 2,000 companies participate to showcase the latest HVAC technology and products.
Samsung Electronics will be participating in the AHR Expo to showcase a range of innovative air conditioning solutions targeting the North American market, including wind-free air conditioners.
Following the unveiling of its full lineup of wind-free air conditioners for home and commercial use in 2018, Samsung Electronics is strengthening its position in the home air conditioner market by introducing a new wall-mounted wind-free air conditioner with twice the cooling capacity of the previous model at this exhibition.
In particular, the wind-free 4-way cassette (ceiling-mounted indoor unit) that was first introduced in 2018 won the '2019 AHR Expo Innovation Award' in the cooling category. He received attention by becoming a finalist. This product keeps you cool without wind by spraying cold air through 15,700 micro holes.
It has a maximum airflow distance of 5m, quickly cooling even large spaces, and the Motion Detect Sensor (MDS) increases operating efficiency, saving up to 55% of energy.
Samsung Electronics will also unveil a full lineup of ventilation systems specialized for the North American market, including the Dedicated Outdoor Air System (DOAS) and Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV), at this exhibition.
DOAS, used in conjunction with Samsung Electronics' system air conditioner, changes the outside air to a temperature and humidity similar to that of indoor air and supplies it indoors.
ERV is a device that transfers the heat energy of indoor air discharged to the outside for ventilation to the incoming outdoor air, while preventing pollutants from being reintroduced.
This allows users to maintain a comfortable air quality and a constant room temperature, saving on the operating costs of heating and cooling products.
In addition, Samsung Electronics also introduced solutions that enhance convenience and energy efficiency by incorporating Samsung's IoT technology, such as ▲ a system air conditioner that strengthens connectivity with other smart devices by applying Wi-Fi technology based on the Open Connectivity Foundation (OCF), and ▲ a function that allows you to control or monitor the air conditioner in your home through voice recognition through the 'Family Hub' refrigerator.
Lee Jae-hwan, managing director of Samsung Electronics' home appliance business division, said, "Samsung Electronics unveiled innovative air conditioning solutions in various fields at this exhibition, from wind-free air conditioners that are receiving great responses in the market to ventilation systems." He added, "We will continue to create a comfortable environment and provide products with excellent energy efficiency." “We will actively target the U.S. air conditioning market through technology,” he said.
