[WIS 2016] Qualcomm Expands Snapdragon Processors from Mobile to Automotive
Published2016.05.20 12:18Qualcomm introduced the Qualcomm Snapdragon automotive solution at the World IT Show (WIS 2016).
Qualcomm has been supporting smart connectivity and personalized in-vehicle experiences in the cloud-based connected car sector through Snapdragon Automotive Solutions.
Snapdragon Automotive Solution is an automotive solution developed by Qualcomm based on its know-how in mobile to create an efficient and safe driving environment in the so-called connected car sector, where connectivity is important.
It includes various Qualcomm technologies such as 3G/4G LTE modems, Qualcomm VIVE Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, DSRC (Dedicated Short Range Communications), GPS, Application Processor, PLC (Power Line Communication), and wireless charging.
Qualcomm showcased a technology concept car at its exhibition booth equipped with an HD infotainment system and instrument panel running on the Snapdragon 820A processor.
