Samsung Electronics will host 'Samsung Forum 2019' for approximately 3,000 major business partners and media representatives from around the world.
The Samsung Forum will be held sequentially from the 12th of this month to the 26th of March in Porto, Portugal (February 12-22), Antalya, Turkey (March 7-11), and Sentosa, Singapore (March 25-26).

The Samsung Forum, now in its 10th year, is a venue for sharing business visions with business partners and introducing strategic products.

This year, Samsung Electronics created an exhibition hall themed “Samsung Plaza,” applying the concept of “Plaza,” which has historically served as a place of communication for citizens and the center of cities in Europe and other places.

At this Samsung Forum, we will showcase a true 'Connected Solution' that links and controls not only our own products but also those of other companies, including the AI speaker 'Galaxy Home', 'Family Hub' refrigerator, smart TV, and various Galaxy devices, centered around the AI platform 'New Bixby'.

Samsung Electronics announced that it will unveil its entire 2019 QLED TV lineup at the 'Samsung Forum Europe 2019' media day held in Porto on the 13th and begin full-scale sales in March.

In Europe, a total of 20 models in 6 series will be introduced, including 8K products (Q950R) ranging from 65 to 98 inches, and various 4K products (Q90R, Q85R, Q80R, Q70R, Q60R) ranging from 43 to 82 inches with differentiated functions and designs.

According to market research firm IHS Markit, the market for TVs larger than 75 inches is expected to grow by more than 50% this year compared to last year, reaching 3 million units, and Samsung Electronics plans to make about half of its QLED TV lineup this year 75-inch or larger models to expand into the ultra-large market.
The 2019 QLED TV expands the application of the AI picture quality engine 'Quantum Processor', which won the CES Innovation Award, to 4K products, realizing optimal picture quality and sound for each scene regardless of the original picture quality.

Additionally, the viewing angle has been significantly improved with the 'Ultra Viewing Angle' technology that evenly distributes light on the screen through improved panel structure and a new screen correction algorithm.

In addition, all QLED TV models support HDR10+, a premium video standard that expresses the optimal contrast ratio for each scene, and the number of Direct Full Array models that express the optimal black by analyzing the characteristics of each image and controlling the backlight has been expanded by nearly double compared to the previous year.

For QLED 8K, it supports HDMI 2.1 transmission standard (8K, 6OP) and is also equipped with an 8K upscaling streaming solution based on AI technology, so you can conveniently enjoy high-definition content through streaming.
The 2019 QLED TV takes user convenience to the next level with its open platform featuring 'New Bixby'.
 
In collaboration with Apple, we have expanded the range of content available on TV by adding not only 'AirPlay2' but also the industry's first 'iTunes Movies & TV Shows' service.

Additionally, the 2019 QLED TV is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, allowing you to easily control key TV functions such as power, volume, and channels with just voice commands.

Samsung Electronics also unveiled its new 2019 lifestyle TVs, 'The Frame' and 'The Serif', which feature a new QLED display.

'The Frame', which allows you to enjoy over 1,000 works of art as if they were picture frames, is available in four models: 43, 49, 55, and 65 inches, and 'The Serif', designed by the world-renowned designers the Bouroullec brothers to enhance aesthetic value, is available in three models: 43, 49, and 55 inches.
Both products are scheduled to be launched simultaneously in Korea, Europe, and the United States around April.

Samsung Electronics Visual Display Business Division Vice President Jong-seok Chu said, "We confirmed consumers' interest and trust in Samsung QLED TV last year," adding, "This year,"We will further widen the gap in the ultra-large market by expanding QLED 8K sales in earnest," he said.
