A remote control system exclusively for electric buses will be implemented starting this year.

Digital tachograph control features available starting in September
KT and Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 16th that they will develop a remote control system (Fleet Management System; FMS) for electric buses and apply it starting this year.

This remote control system, developed by Hyundai Motor Company through collaboration with KT on connected car platform technology, provides functions such as ▲electric bus-only electric vehicle control ▲location control ▲digital tachograph (DTG) control.
'Electric Vehicle Control', designed exclusively for electric buses, links the main functions of electric buses, such as battery charging status, battery condition, and driving distance, to the control system, enabling efficient vehicle operation through real-time monitoring. It also provides comprehensive information for each vehicle to enable integrated vehicle management in the garage.
'Location control' will provide various contents such as real-time vehicle location inquiry, dispatch time adjustment, and accident location confirmation based on location information acquired through wired and wireless communication networks.
'Digital Tachograph Control' is designed to promote eco-friendly, economical driving and safe driving habits through real-time vehicle control and driving information analysis, thereby improving work productivity.
The two companies plan to pilot the remote control system on all electric buses introduced to Seoul this year, including the 14 electric buses currently operating in the city, and to expand the system nationwide after standardization.
Choi Kang-rim, executive director of KT's Connected Car Business Center, said, "KT and Hyundai Motor Company will continue to collaborate, including jointly developing various services to promote electric vehicles, which are attracting attention as a future eco-friendly mode of transportation, starting with this collaboration."

Porsche's 800V-based electric vehicle completes final long-distance testing
포르쉐가 800V 기반의 전기차 타이칸의 장거리 주행을 마쳤다. 평균속도 200Km , 총 주행거리 3,425Km를 주파한 이번 테스트는 이탈리아의 Puglia의 Nardius Technical Center에서 진행되었으며, 9월 출시를 앞두고 최종 테스트를 진행한것으로 보여진다. 이번 테스트는 연속 장거리 주행에 대한 테스트로서, 주행중 차량의 온도 및 급속 충전에 따른 배터리 상태등 다양한 테스트가 진행되었다고 관계자는 밝혔다.
