'2019 IoT Promotion Week' Held to Converge 5G and AI into IoT

The Ministry of Science and ICT is holding the '2019 Internet of Things Promotion Week' from the 23rd to the 25th.
The Internet of Things (IoT) Promotion Week, now in its sixth year, is an event to experience IoT applications in daily life and industry and to explore the direction of development for related industries.
This IoT Promotion Week features 10 events, including exhibitions, conferences, showcases, and job fairs, under the theme 'Internet of Things, Faster with 5G and Smarter with AI'.
About 150 domestic and international companies will participate in the 'International Internet of Things Exhibition' held at Hall A on the 1st floor of COEX from the 23rd to the 25th.
IoT devices, networks, platform technologies, products, and intelligent IoT services being applied in various fields such as manufacturing, home appliances, and safety will be on display.
On the 24th, the 'IoT International Conference' will be held in rooms 317, 318, and 327 on the 3rd floor of COEX. A total of 32 presentations will be given across 9 sessions in 3 tracks under the theme of 'Application Cases and Response Strategies by Public and Industrial Sectors Based on IoT, 5G, and AI Convergence'.
A venue is scheduled to be set up to share the latest IoT technology trends, including government project implementation trends related to IoT, 5G, and AI, application cases in 10 fields such as smart cities and smart factories, and new AI and IoT convergence technologies.
At this year's IoT Showcase, held from the 23rd to the 25th at Hall A on the 1st floor of COEX, various healthcare-related products and services will be demonstrated under the theme of healthcare, including wearable electrocardiogram devices with IoT technology, AI arrhythmia diagnosis solutions, and iris-based big data wellness solutions. We conduct 1:1 business consultations to attract investment.
On the 25th, at Hall C on the 3rd floor of COEX, under the theme "IoT, Open the Door to Employment!", recruitment preparation know-how will be introduced, and job descriptions and Q&A sessions will be held with experts in five IoT job fields (service, platform, network, device, and security) for university students and others interested in employment in the IoT field.
Min Won-ki, the Second Vice Minister of Science and ICT, emphasized at the opening ceremony on the 23rd, “IoT is a core technology of the Fourth Industrial Revolution that will trigger digital innovation in various fields by combining with 5G mobile communication infrastructure and AI technology,” and added, “I hope that through this promotion week, IoT will become a driving force of technology leading the Korean economy.”

Meanwhile, the organizers expect approximately 20,000 people to attend the 2019 International Internet of Things Exhibition, which will be held for three days.

The 50th Korea Electronics Show 2019, commemorating the 60th anniversary of South Korea's electronics industry, will be held from the 8th to the 11th at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Ecolab and K-water Discuss Innovation Collaboration in Advanced Industry Water Management
