Samsung Electronics will be participating in CES 2020, the world's largest IT and home appliance exhibition, held in Las Vegas, USA from the 7th to the 10th, and unveiling its new Family Hub refrigerator.
The Family Hub refrigerator, which was first introduced by Samsung Electronics in 2016 to combine IoT and AI technologies, has won the Innovation Award for five consecutive years.

The product to be unveiled this time applies 'Food AI' technology, which is a step forward in artificial intelligence, to ▲provide customized diets and recipes ▲automatically recognize internal ingredients ▲make online grocery ordering easier.

We've added new food service management and meal planner features to suggest customized meals and recipes.

Family Hub utilizes AI capabilities to recommend customized meals and recipes based on members' pre-registered favorite foods, frequently used ingredients, and individual eating habits.

In addition, the View Inside function, which allows you to check the inside of the refrigerator, has been upgraded so that the refrigerator can recognize the stored ingredients and add new ones or reflect the remaining ingredients information in the food list, while allowing you to cook with the stored ingredients. Provides a recipe.

If consumers don't have the ingredients they need in their refrigerator, they can add them to their shopping list and order them online through Family Hub.

The Family Board space, where family members can share and communicate their daily lives, has also been improved, allowing for video and website URL sharing. A calendar feature has also been added, allowing family members to see their schedules at a glance, broadening the scope of communication.

“The 2020 Family Hub is a smart refrigerator that integrates functions from grocery shopping to storage and diet management in one place,” said Yoo Mi-young, managing director of Samsung Electronics’ home appliance business division. “It will be an opportunity for refrigerators to become even more deeply ingrained in families’ daily lives.”

Meanwhile, the 2020 Family Hub, combined with a bespoke design, is scheduled to be released in the domestic market around April.
