KT Powertel Adds Gas Detection Function to Industrial Safety IoT Solution

KT Powertel announced on the 18th that it has expanded the capabilities of its 'Industrial Safety IoT' solution, which detects hazardous chemical leaks using ICT technology, to enable real-time monitoring of gas leaks as well as liquid leaks.

KT Powertel, which launched an 'Industrial Safety IoT' solution to detect leaks of hazardous chemicals in liquid form last February, has now added a 'hazardous gas leak detection system'.
The hazardous gas leak detection system can rapidly detect leaks of hazardous and explosive gases, such as hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide, thereby preventing accidents at industrial sites in advance.
It can be utilized not only for detecting leaks of special gases, such as hydrofluoric acid, in raw material storage tanks, warehouses, and production lines of manufacturing plants like semiconductor factories, but also for detecting leaks of toxic gases generated during operations at steel mills and shipyards, and flammable gases generated from storage tanks or production facilities in petrochemical plants.
The industrial safety IoT hazardous gas leak detection system measures hazardous gases through detection sensors and monitors concentration and diagnostic results in real time.It monitors. In the event of an emergency, it sends quadruple notifications via the control room PC, LTE walkie-talkie 'Razer', a dedicated smartphone app, and KakaoTalk.
KT Powertel collaborated with Senko Co., Ltd., a domestic company possessing gas sensor technology, to launch this solution. Senko develops and manufactures gas sensors and gas safety devices using its own technology.
The implementation of industrial safety IoT solutions is customized based on on-site verification for each customer. Subscription inquiries can be made through the KT Powertel website or the specialized information center (02-2166-0250).
