Infineon Launches 650V MOSFETs Ideal for E-Mobility

Infineon Technologies announced on the 13th that it is launching the CoolMOS CFD7A series for the e-mobility market.
Manufactured to exceed AEC-Q101 standards, the CoolMOS CFD7A series is a silicon-based, high-performance product that can be used in PFC and DC/DC stages of onboard charging systems and HV/LV DC/DC converters optimized for electric vehicle applications.
CoolMOS CFD7A supports system voltages up to 475 V DC and achieves peak efficiency of up to 98.4% using the Kelvin source concept.
The new product family operates at higher switching frequencies and features lower gate losses, enabling compact designs with higher power density. They are also resistant to cosmic radiation and designed for operation in harsh automotive environments.
The 650V CoolMOS CFD7A is available in TO-220, TO-247, TO-247 short-lead, D2PAK 3-pin, and D2PAK 7-pin packages, allowing developers to select the product that best suits their needs.

TI Unveils Multi-Axis Coreless Current Sensor TMCS2100-Q1 for HEV/EV Traction Inverters
Texas Instruments has unveiled the TMCS2100-Q1, a multi-axis coreless Hall-effect current sensor for HEV and EV traction inverters. By simultaneously measuring horizontal and vertical magnetic fields through multi-axis sensing technology, it achieves up to 20 times higher accuracy compared to conventional single-axis sensors, while the busbar-unmodified design provides mechanical design flexibility. It simultaneously meets the high-accuracy requirements and miniaturization driven by the expansion of 800V architectures.
