Analog Devices (ADI) today announced the launch of the ADRV9002 RF transceiver, which is suitable for commercial and military applications.

ADI said the ADRV9002 RF transceiver is “suitable for mission-critical communications applications such as emergency communications, private LTE networks, and satellite communications, where size, weight, and power consumption are key system design considerations.”

The ADRV9002 RF transceiver operates over a frequency range of 30 MHz to 6 GHz and provides a receiver with a dynamic range of -150 dBc/Hz and a transmitter with high linearity.

It implements narrowband and traditional wideband signals from 12KHz to 40MHz, and can process voice, data, imaging or video signals. It also includes digital signal wireless correction algorithms, AGC, DPD, frequency hopping and channel filtering functions, and allows for performance and power consumption adjustments.

“The ADRV9002 RF transceiver enables accurate decoding of signals even in congested spectrum,” said Joe Barry, vice president and general manager of ADI’s Wireless Communications business unit. “It enables users to develop wireless platforms for commercial and military applications that offer scalable power and performance.”

The ADRV9002 RF transceiver is available now and is priced at $257.40 each in 1,000-unit quantities in a 12 mm × 12 mm, 196-ball CS-BGA package.
