DB HiTek announced on the 14th through a public disclosure that it recorded sales of KRW 467.5 billion and operating profit of KRW 141.8 billion in the first half of 2020. These figures represent a 25% and 98% increase, respectively, compared to the same period last year, resulting in an operating profit margin of 30%.

In the second quarter, sales reached 241.7 billion won and operating profit reached 77.1 billion won, representing a 13% and 56% increase, respectively, compared to the same period last year.

DB HiTek stated, “Demand for power semiconductors and sensors, which has continued since last year, also affected our performance in the first half of the year,” and “We expect customer orders to continue to rise for the time being.”

Additionally, he added, “We have recently expanded our annual capacity to around 60,000 sheets through activities such as productivity improvement,” and “We expect this to have the effect of increasing sales through increased customer orders.”

Meanwhile, DB HiTek operates production lines in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province (Fab1) and Eumseong, Chungcheongbuk-do (Fab2), with a monthly production capacity of 130,000 sheets. As of the first half of this year, the Bucheon fab recorded a factory operating rate of 98.68%, and the Eumseong fab recorded a factory operating rate of 97.32%.
