Mouser Electronics announced today that it is now stocking Panasonic's PAN1740A low-power Bluetooth (BLE) RF module.

Featuring a fully integrated baseband processor and wireless transceiver for BLE 5.0 connectivity, the PAN1740A module supports up to eight connections and reduces boot time. It is also optimized for remote control devices requiring gesture recognition and voice command support.

The PAN1740A module integrates audio devices, providing easy interfaces for external codecs via PCM/I²S, MEMS microphones via PDM, and sample rate converters. Featuring a programmable Arm® Cortex®-M0 CPU, it can be used as a standalone application processor or as a data pump in a hosting system.

It consumes only 4.9mA in transmit or receive mode, allowing it to be used with coin batteries without compromising signal range or transmit power. The 9×9.5×1.8mm module provides a link budget of 93dBm (Rx sensitivity: -93dBm, Tx sensitivity: 0dBm).

The PAN1740A module complies with the Bluetooth 5.0 standard, as well as EU CE RED, US FCC, and KAIC certifications. It features dedicated hardware for implementing the BLE link layer and supports custom profiles and all Bluetooth SIG profiles.

The PAN1740A evaluation kit, consisting of two USB dongles, features a USB-to-UART converter, allowing hardware access to the module's pins. It also provides a J-Link debug interface for evaluating custom firmware.
