With the recent expansion of electric vehicles (EVs) and the global number of EVs expected to reach 22 million by 2025, demand for solid-state batteries and secondary batteries is also increasing. At the same time, as demand for safe and efficient EVs grows, engineers are faced with the challenge of developing capabilities to analyze EV fire factors and address battery issues.

The 2020 Next-Generation Battery Latest Technology Seminar will be held both online and offline at the Yangjae aT Center in Seoul on Thursday, December 17th.

This seminar hosted by My Forum will feature ▲Professor Kim Jong-hoon of Chungnam National University discussing ‘Internal Condition Monitoring and Optimization Technology Based on Electric Vehicle Battery BMS’ and ▲Principal Researcher Ha Yoon-cheol of the Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute discussing ‘Technical Challenges and Prospects for the Commercialization of All-Solid-State Batteries Based on Sulfide-Based Solid Electrolytes.’

Next, ▲Professor Park Cheol-wan of Seojeong University will present on ‘Comparative Analysis of Lithium-ion Secondary Batteries vs. Other Next-Generation Batteries,’ ▲Professor Choi Won-chang of Konkuk University will present on ‘Issues and Technology Trends of High-Capacity, High-Nickel Cathode Materials for Lithium-ion Batteries,’ ▲Professor Lee Sang-young of Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology will present on ‘Trends in the Technology Development of Organic Material-Based All-Solid-State Batteries,’ and ▲EVALL CEO Lee Hu-kyung will present on ‘Battery Electrical Hazards and Fire Countermeasures.’

Pre-registration is 280,000 won (including VAT), and on-site registration is 350,000 won (including VAT), which is the cost of attending a one-day seminar program.
