Vicor announced on the 14th that it received the Analyst Favorite Semiconductor Company award at the 'GSA Awards 2020' hosted by the Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA).
The GSA Awards is an event that recognizes semiconductor companies that have distinguished themselves in the market through technological innovation and excellent business management strategies, and this year it was held online due to the spread of COVID-19.
Vicor's high-efficiency, high-density power system solutions support the advancement of demanding applications, including AI. In addition to Vicor, NVIDIA, Marvell, Inphi, Lattice, Si5, Power Integrations, MediaTek, and STMicroelectronics received awards in their respective fields.
Quinn Bolton, Managing Director at the UK investment bank Needham & Company, said, “We selected Vicor based on benchmark and historical data, including stock price, earnings per share, projected revenue, and product performance.”
Vicor Corporation, headquartered in Andover, Massachusetts, designs, develops, manufactures, and sells modular power components and complete power systems. Currently, the company is conducting business in the power systems market, which encompasses enterprise and high-performance computing, industrial equipment and automation, network infrastructure, vehicles and transportation, and aerospace and defense sectors.
Meanwhile, the GSA is an industry organization encompassing semiconductors, software, solutions, systems, and services. It currently has over 250 member companies from more than 25 countries, including 100 publicly traded companies. The combined value of member companies exceeds $450 billion, accounting for 70% of the semiconductor industry.
