Telechips Adopts Arm IP for Dolphin 5 Automotive AP
Arm to strengthen competitiveness in the automotive semiconductor market
Korean Fabless Companies Including Gaonchips and Telechips Expand Cooperation


On the 15th, Arm announced that Telechips' next-generation automotive AP 'Dolphin 5' is equipped with an Arm Cortex®-A76 CPU that supports the Digital Cockpit for vehicles, an Arm Mali™-G78AE GPU that provides functional safety with support for up to four completely independent partitions, and an Arm Ethos™-N78 NPU dedicated to machine learning.

Telechips is currently registered with 'Arm Flexible Access' and is utilizing various Arm IPs, including functional safety IP packages, in its Telechips SoC designs without upfront licensing fees.

For this project, Telechips is collaborating with GAONCHIPS, a Samsung Electronics Foundry Design Solution Partner and an Arm Approved Design Partner. Gaonchips provides design services utilizing Samsung Foundry processes and infrastructure to enable customers to develop Arm technology-based SoC products.
