Mouser to Supply Microchip LoRa Sub-GHz Modules
Supports LoRa and FSK modulation and integrates RF switches

Mouser Electronics announced today that it is now stocking Microchip Technology's WLR089U0 LoRa® Sub-GHz module. Providing a low power standby current of 790nA, the module is suitable for battery-powered remote sensor applications such as IoT and smart city solutions.

The WLR089U0 module is based on the highly integrated SAM R34 family of ICs supporting LoRa and FSK modulation, and includes a 32-bit Arm® Cortex®-M0+ processor, 256KB flash, and 40KB SRAM (8KB battery-backed SRAM).

The highly configurable module offers a variety of peripherals, including seven 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) channels, two analog comparators, and up to four serial communication interfaces.

The module integrates an RF switch to support global LoRaWAN operation from 863 MHz to 928 MHz, enabling developers in each region to use single-component variants, simplifying the design process and streamlining the BOM.

It provides up to 18.6 dBm of transmit (Tx) power with a receive (Rx) sensitivity as low as -136 dBm and is FCC (US), IC (Canada) and RED/CE (Europe) certified.

Mouser offers the WLR089 Xplained Pro Evaluation Kit, which provides easy access to the many features of the WLR089U0 module and ATSAMR34J18B device, allowing for expansion of the board's functionality and easy custom design development.Provides additional peripherals for the feet.
