Published2021.04.21 16:18The Korea Communications Commission and the Ministry of Science and ICT will conduct an on-site inspection of the deterioration of 10-gigabit internet speed quality and will focus on checking for violations of prohibited acts under the Telecommunications Business Act.
The Korea Communications Commission and the Ministry of Science and ICT announced in a press release on the 21st that they have decided to jointly conduct an on-site inspection to confirm the facts related to the recent decline in quality of KT's 10 Giga Internet.
The Korea Communications Commission plans to focus on inspecting whether telecommunications companies have violated the Telecommunications Business Act's prohibitions on intentionally slowing down internet speeds, providing compensation according to terms and conditions, and providing internet installation procedures.
Additionally, the Ministry of Science and ICT announced that it will comprehensively review the domestic situation and overseas cases and simultaneously pursue institutional improvements to terms and conditions of use.
