Intel recently unveiled a GPU based on the Xe HP architecture.

The Xe HP GPU code for Arctic Sound applies a modular stacking design method called 'Tile' (similar to chipsets).

There are three types: 1 Tile, 2 Tile, and 4 Tile. Each Tile is integrated with up to 512 execution units, or 4,096 cores.

In the case of 4 Tile, there are 2,048 execution units, or 16,384 cores.

Currently, spy shots of the Arctic Sound 1T and Arctic Sound 2T versions have been released by Igor's Lab, and the specifications state that the Arctic Sound 1T theoretically has 512 execution cells.

On the other hand, for unknown reasons, only 384 cores corresponding to 3,072 were opened. It also features 16GB of HBM2E high-bandwidth memory. The thermal design power consumption is 150W, which is significantly lower than the previously revealed 225W. The system interface operates via PCIe 4.0.

The Arctic Sound 2T should have 1,024 execution cells, but since only 960 were actually opened per 480 tiles, the total number of cores is 7,680. The HBM2 memory capacity has doubled to 32GB. On the other hand, the auxiliary supply interface is a single 8-pin EPS, not the 6/8-pin PCIe found on standard graphics cards.

There is no top-tier version of Arctic Sound 4T yet.
