Texas Instruments (TI) is providing GaN technology to Delta Electronics' data center server power supplies, delivering industry-leading power density, new architectures and integrated features to reduce total cost of ownership and address engineers' enterprise server design challenges.

TI Korea (CEO Joong-Seo Park) announced on the 23rd that it will provide its GaN technology and C2000™ real-time microcontroller (MCU) technology to Delta Electronics for its power-efficient enterprise server power supply unit (PSU) design.

This server power supply delivers up to 99.2% efficiency, delivering 80% greater power density and 1% better battery efficiency for data center applications compared to enterprise server power supplies using conventional architectures.

Delta Electronics is a global leader in power and thermal management solutions, providing AC/DC, DC/DC, and DC/AC power systems for a wide range of applications, including IT, electric vehicle charging, appliances, and industrial power.

Delta Electronics chose TI because of its continued investment in GaN technology for over a decade and its ability to provide real-time control solutions like the C2000 MCU.

TI uses innovative semiconductor manufacturing processes to manufacture GaN-on-Si technology and integrated circuits (ICs), enabling companies like Delta Electronics to power data centers worldwide more efficiently through differentiated applications.
