Samsung Electronics is moving forward with expanding the foundation of related content based on its proprietary HDR 10+ content technology.

Samsung Electronics announced on the 4th that it has independently developed HDR 10+ content conversion software and recently completed functional verification together with CJ Olive Networks.

HDR 10+ is a high-definition video standard technology led by Samsung Electronics, which optimizes brightness and contrast for each scene on TVs and mobile devices to enhance the three-dimensional quality of images and implement accurate color expression.

Samsung Electronics distributed its independently developed HDR content conversion software free of charge to expand the foundation of HDR content, and recently completed functional verification for the first time through cooperation with CJ Olive Networks.

Recently, CJ Olive Networks utilized the software to master the film "Voice" distributed by CJ ENM in HDR10+, and this film is scheduled to be serviced through multiple domestic platforms including Tving from November 4th.

This collaboration is expected to strengthen the HDR10+ standard camp, which currently has 125 member companies worldwide and has launched more than 4,000 certified products, accelerating ecosystem expansion.

Samsung Electronics established a joint venture called "HDR10+ Technology LLC" with Panasonic and Twentieth Century Fox from 2018 to expand the HDR10+ ecosystem, and has been working on HDR10+ certification and logo program operations and technical support.

Samsung Electronics plans to actively provide technical support and cooperation to companies interested in HDR10+ to expand the domestic HDR video industry in the future.

Vice President Choi Yong-hun, Head of the Development Team at Samsung Electronics' Visual Display Business Division, stated, "Recently, HDR10+ services are being expanded through cooperation with Korea's leading content supply companies," and "We will continue to strengthen our leadership in HDR standards to solidify our technological leadership in the global TV market."
