The Korea Semiconductor Industry Association presented a model for industry-academia cooperation among semiconductor master's and doctoral students.

The Semiconductor Association announced that the industry-academia project team, which was promoted as part of the semiconductor professional training program, participated in the final round of the '2021 Industry-Academia Project Challenge' hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy on the 9th.

The Industry-Academic Project Challenge is an event that presents research results from various industry-academic projects supported by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's 'Industry Innovation Talent Growth Support Project' and awards outstanding results.

Projects participating in this challenge will undergo a comprehensive review process and be selected to receive 10 awards, including the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award, 10 awards, and 10 special awards, and will participate in the awards ceremony on the 12th.

A total of 301 teams (666 people) from 33 fields including semiconductors, shipbuilding, automobiles, secondary batteries, artificial intelligence, and robotics participated in this event, and 66 teams (183 people) advanced to the finals.

In the semiconductor field, six teams, two each from the Intelligent Semiconductor Professional Training, Semiconductor Materials, Components, and Equipment Technology Professional Training, and Next-Generation Power Semiconductor Device Manufacturing Professional Training Divisions, advanced to the finals and presented successful models of industry-academia cooperation and introduced excellent results.
