Samsung Electronics won a total of 43 "CES Innovation Awards," including four "Best Innovation Awards," ahead of "CES 2022," the world's largest electronics exhibition to be held in Las Vegas, USA, next January. Samsung Electronics President Han Jong-hee is scheduled to deliver a keynote speech at CES.

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) announced the CES Innovation Award-winning products and technologies across 27 categories on the 10th (local time).

Samsung Electronics received a total of 43 innovation awards, including 21 in video displays, 7 in home appliances, 11 in mobile, and 4 in semiconductors. In particular, the company demonstrated technological leadership by winning three Best Innovation Awards in video displays and one in mobile, which are awarded to the most innovative products or technologies in the industry.

In the video display sector, TV set a record by winning the Best Innovation Award for 11 consecutive years.

New 2022 TV models, a new lifestyle TV platform, and gaming monitors won the Best Innovation Award, while various display products to be released next year and the 'Odyssey Neo G9' gaming monitor released in the second half of this year were honored with the Innovation Award.

In the home appliance sector, various Bespoke appliances and new smart home-related products were selected for the Innovation Award.

In particular, the Family Hub refrigerator, which incorporates artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) to provide functions such as food management, family communication, entertainment, and smart home features, has won the Innovation Award for seven consecutive years since its debut in 2016.

In the mobile sector, the 'Galaxy Z Flip 3 Bespoke Edition,' which was recently launched and is creating a huge stir in the market, won the Best Innovation Award, while various products including the 'Galaxy Z Fold 3,' 'Galaxy Z Flip 3,' 'Galaxy Book Pro 360,' 'Galaxy Watch 4,' 'Galaxy Buds 2,' and 'Smart Tag+' swept the innovation awards.

In the semiconductor sector, △'512GB DDR5 RDIMM' high-capacity DRAM to be installed in next-generation computing such as AI and HPC, as well as data center servers △'PM1731a' ZNS NVMe SSD, which supports ZNS technology for the first time in the industry to extend the lifespan of existing SSDs by up to 3 to 4 times △PCIe Gen5 interface devices optimized for the enterprise server marketThe next-generation SSD 'PM1743' and the industry's first 200-megapixel mobile image sensor 'ISOCELL HP1' won innovation awards.

The CES Innovation Award-winning products are scheduled to be exhibited at the Las Vegas Convention Center in the United States from January 5 to 8 next year.

Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics President Han Jong-hee (Head of Visual Display Business) plans to deliver a keynote speech at the Venetian's Palazzo Ballroom in Las Vegas at 6:30 p.m. (local time) on January 4, ahead of the opening of CES 2022.

President Han Jong-hee is expected to introduce Samsung Electronics' multifaceted efforts to contribute to creating a sustainable planet under the theme of "Age of Togetherness," which embodies the value that "technology must exist for humanity and the Earth," and to emphasize the importance of everyone participating in minimizing climate change in their respective roles.
