Intel's new president and general manager for Asia Pacific and Japan, Steven A. Long, has expressed his ambition to continue driving Intel's growth and leadership in the region.


Intel recently announced the retirement of Steven A. Long, vice president of Intel's Sales, Marketing and Communications Group. Long) was appointed as the general manager of the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region, the company announced on the 1st.

Long, the new General Manager, will be responsible for all aspects of Intel's Asia Pacific business, including driving revenue growth, creating new opportunities through collaboration with the local ecosystem, and strengthening existing customer and partner relationships.

Mr. Long most recently served as global sales manager for Intel's client business.

Long, who joined Intel in 2000, has held positions in sales, marketing, product planning, pricing policy, and operations, and has worked in Asia, Central and South America, and the United States.

Mr. Long previously led the operations division at Intel Hong Kong in 2004.

Meanwhile, General Manager Long holds a bachelor's degree in Latin American Studies from Tulane University, an MBA from Texas A&M University, and a graduate of the Harvard Advanced Management Program.
