Infineon Technologies (Korea CEO Seung-soo Lee) supplies power solutions to Verizon, meeting the demands of consumers who want fast charging by delivering higher power with miniaturized chargers.

Infineon announced on the 16th that its EZ-PD™ PAG1 (Power Adapter Generation 1) AC-DC power solution has been adopted in Verizon's recently released USB-C wall fast charger.

This new Verizon charger, manufactured by Xentris Wireless, quickly charges OTG devices and provides up to 45W fast charging to compatible devices.

The EZ-PD PAG1 is a 2-chip AC-DC power solution that integrates USB-PD functionality, enabling a compact charger.

These high-performance chargers can use all USB-C charging cables and can charge both the latest and older devices with a USB-C port.

Infineon's EZ-PD PAG1 primary and secondary controller family integrates secondary control and various functions, enabling high-power density designs using gallium nitride (GaN) and silicon (Si) power transistors. System designers can launch differentiated chargers with power levels ranging from 18W to 65W while reducing the overall BOM.
