SK Hynix has been consistently helping vulnerable communities in the region for 12 years.

SK Hynix held a ceremony to donate the 2022 Happiness Sharing Fund at the Yeongbingwan on the Icheon Campus on the 24th, and donated 2.16 billion won, raised through the participation of its members, to the Social Welfare Fund Raising Association.

The Happiness Sharing Fund is a fund that SK Hynix has been creating since 2011 to support vulnerable groups in the region. It is operated through a matching grant system, where the company donates an amount equal to the amount donated by its members.

The Happiness Sharing Fund, now in its 12th year, has accumulated a total of 27.5 billion won in donations, and the number of beneficiaries is approximately 65,500.

The event was attended by SK Hynix CEO Lee Seok-hee, President of External Cooperation Kim Dong-seop, Vice President of CR Strategy Park Yong-geun, Icheon Union Chairman Kim Hae-ju, Cheongju Union Chairman Kang Kook-mo, and Community Chest of Korea Chairman Cho Heung-sik.

In particular, we would like to thank four outstanding donors who have participated in the fund for more than 10 years and contributed to spreading the culture of sharing. The meaning was further enhanced by awarding the Happiness Sharing Practice Award.

SK hynix CEO Lee Seok-hee said, “I would like to thank the Community Chest of Korea and its members for their participation in making the Happiness Sharing Fund a proud part of SK hynix’s culture. We will continue to do our best to share happiness with society.”

Meanwhile, the Happiness Sharing Fund will be utilized in a total of six areas, including projects to solve social problems such as 'Happiness GPS' and 'Silver Friend', and projects to foster future talent such as 'Heinstein' and 'Happiness IT Zone'.
