Long-term contract for ultra-high purity hydrogen, helium and CO2
Air Liquide supplies specialty gases for semiconductors to one of the world's largest semiconductor manufacturers based in Arizona, USA.
Air Liquide announced on the 25th that it recently signed a long-term contract to supply ultra-pure hydrogen, helium and carbon dioxide to one of the world's largest semiconductor manufacturers located in Phoenix, Arizona.
It was mentioned that about 60 million dollars (about 72 billion won) will be invested in building on-site factories and systems for this supply.
Operation and supply of the facility is budgeted to begin in the second half of 2022.
Meanwhile, Taiwan's TSMC is building a $12 billion semiconductor plant in Phoenix, Arizona.

During a webinar jointly conducted by SEMI and Merck, Dr. Benjamin Garrett of Merck presented on "Game Changers in Deposition Processes: Molybdenum Next-Generation Process Materials and Advanced Supply Systems," arguing that molybdenum dioxydichloride precursor (MoO₂Cl₂) and the CHEMKEEPER® supply system will become "game changers" in deposition processes. As molybdenum (Mo) gains attention as a next-generation material in semiconductor deposition processes, the importance of precursor purity and delivery systems for stable supply in production environments is increasing.
