SK Telecom (CEO Yoo Young-sang) showcased cutting-edge ICT technologies and services, including AI, metaverse, and UAM, at the 'World IT Show 2022 (WIS 2022)', creating a platform for innovative future ICT experiences.

SK Telecom announced that it will participate in the 'World IT Show 2022 (WIS 2022),' Korea's largest ICT exhibition held under the theme of 'Innovation for Tomorrow' at COEX in Seoul from the 20th to the 22nd, and introduce cutting-edge ICT technologies and services such as AI, metaverse, and UAM.

SKT showcased ICT technologies that will lead the future of Korea, such as AI, metaverse, and UAM, as well as innovative ESG services, in an 870㎡ exhibition hall themed “A surreal experience in a world without boundaries between reality and the virtual.”

■ Future daily life filled with AI

At this event, SKT will exhibit 'SAPEON', Korea's first AI semiconductor for data centers developed in-house.

SKTHe said that at this event, you can see a demonstration comparing the data processing speed of 'SAPEON' and GPU (graphics processing unit), and experience the artificial intelligence speaker 'NUGU Multi Agent' in a comfortable environment like your living room.

Visitors will have the opportunity to experience upgrading low-resolution photos to high-resolution photos quickly and easily using a smartphone with the 'Supernova' app installed, and participate in demonstrations of the I Camera and vision AI technology that analyzes video.

■ Ifland HMD and Virtual Exhibition

At this event, SKT will exhibit the HMD (Head Mounted Display) version of 'ifland', showing the scene being viewed by the user wearing the HMD on two large LEDs located in front of the user.

An exhibition will be held in a virtual world within 'Ifland', where visitors can become avatars and roam the gallery, viewing digital works by new artists and receiving explanations from docent avatars.

■ ESG services utilizing UAM simulator and ICT

SKT has prepared a 4D metaverse where users can experience riding the next-generation transportation mode, urban air mobility (UAM).

Through barrier-free services that utilize AI technology to assist the daily lives of the visually impaired, visitors can experience the visual assistance service "Sullivan Plus x NUGU" firsthand. Participants can participate in an experience where they can recognize surrounding objects through voice guidance while blinded.

Meanwhile, SKT has prepared various events for this event. △When you add the 'SKT Newsroom' KakaoTalk channel as a friend, you will receive a kit containing information about the exhibition. △When you complete each experience zone, you will receive stickers and attach them to the kit to participate in a drawing to win various souvenirs such as NUGU Candle, Galaxy Buds, and reusable cups. △There will be a quiz show related to 'T Universe' and a prize drawing event.
