Samsung Electronics' 'Neo QLED 8K' vividly brings to life works digitized in 8K quality with the highest level of detail and contrast ratio.

Samsung Electronics announced on the 29th that it will hold the '8K Big Picture in FOR:REST' exhibition with 'Neo QLED 8K' at COEX from April 29th to May 8th.

This exhibition is part of the 'Blossom The HOPE 2022' event held by COEX to comfort citizens exhausted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and a total of 28 digital works by 22 artists representing the domestic art and NFT (Non-Fungible Token) art world will be presented through the 2022 Neo QLED 8K and 'The Frame'.

Visitors can experience the digitized artwork in 8K more vividly through Samsung Neo QLED 8K. 8K ultra-high resolution, 'Quantum Mini LED', and the latest AI-based picture quality technology create the industry's highest level of detail and contrast, doubling the impact of your work.

The Frame is a lifestyle TV that allows you to display artwork or photos on the screen, effectively serving as a picture frame when not watching TV. Its "Matte Display" reduces light reflection, allowing you to enjoy clear picture quality even under bright lighting, allowing you to appreciate the texture of the original artwork. Furthermore, its sophisticated frame-like bezel design allows you to focus more intently on the artwork.

This exhibition features 22 famous Korean artists, including experimental media artists Yook Geun-byung and Han Ho, who are active on the world stage; first-generation hyperrealist painter Joo Tae-seok; Kim Geun-joong, who has continued his career by exploring 'Natural Being'; Shin Cheol, famous for his paintings of girls with short hair; Lim Chae-wook, who captures the unique beauty of Korean mountains; and Hong Won-pyo, who is well-known for the character 'Barabappa'.

Artist Lim Chae-wook, who participated in the exhibition, said, “I was curious about how the original work would look on TV, but when I saw the work displayed on the actual Neo QLED 8K, I was surprised at how it conveyed the work in a way that captured details while also giving it a three-dimensional feel.”
