Microchip has launched an advanced security solution that provides an end-to-end solution to protect data centers, telecommunications, and networking systems from rapidly evolving security threats.

Microchip Technology (Asia General Manager and Korea Representative Han Byung-don) announced on the 18th that it has launched the CEC1736 Trust Shield product family based on microcontrollers (MCU) that supports complete configuration.

The product family complies with the NIST 800-193 Platform Firmware Recovery guidelines, builds a complete security trust chain for system platforms, and provides runtime firmware protection capabilities that ensure a secure boot process.

The CEC1736 solution further expands Microchip's product portfolio that ensures cyber resilience in end-user equipment.

The solution serves as a real-time platform Root of Trust supporting complete configuration and provides firmware protection against runtime attacks in SPI flash and I2C/SMBus filtering.

The solution's attestation capability provides trustworthy evidence to verify that critical devices within the platform are authentic.

Additionally, lifecycle management and ownership transfer capabilities protect secrets during the lifecycle of the end product and ownership transfers, enabling different operators to safely use system platforms without information compromise.
