Vicor has a new production facility capable of manufacturing power modules to meet the high-volume production needs of artificial intelligence, electric vehicles, advanced communications, and other high-growth markets.

Bycor recently announced the completion of a new, state-of-the-art power module manufacturing facility at 400 Federal Street in Andover, and held a grand opening ceremony on the 18th.

The grand opening ceremony featured representatives from state and local governments, along with Byco employees and senior management, and included a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The new vertically integrated ChiP (Converter-in-Package) fab is expected to further differentiate Vicor power modules by leveraging patented manufacturing processes to deliver highest power density and energy-efficient solutions.

Additionally, the new ChiP foundry is expected to enable Vicor to realize its vision of implementing high-performance modular power system solutions that can meet demanding power requirements.

“Our new ChiP fab integrates all the process steps required to manufacture high-density power modules on wafer-like panels with short cycle times and flexible production capabilities,” said Mike McNamara, Vice President of Operations at Vicor.
