September 30, Topic: Precision Road Maps Essential for Autonomous Driving

A venue was provided to learn about precision road map technology and standardization issues, which are essential infrastructure for autonomous driving.

e4ds news will hold the ' 2022 e4ds Automotive Conference ' on September 30 at the main auditorium of the Korea Conference Center (Gangnam Station).

This conference was organized to examine precision road maps, one of the fundamental infrastructures for autonomous driving, and to share information on international standardization issues as well as the precision map technologies and applications of domestic companies.

The presentations will cover: Park Hyun-jin, Head of the SW Module Group at Morai, on the utilization of precision road maps and the Seoul autonomous vehicle simulator; Park Jin-geun, Director at iNavi Systems, on hybrid maps for point-to-point movement based on designated zones; Yoo Jae-jun, Principal Researcher at ETRI, on standardization trends for precision road maps for autonomous driving; and Yoo Hyung-gon, Head of the Mobiltech Division, on 3D spatial information updating and utilization technologies for realizing immersive smart cities.
