Nuvoton, which established a Korean branch in 2020, is accelerating its entry into the Korean market and seeking market expansion following its acquisition of Japan's Panasonic Semiconductor.

Nuvoton Technology Korea held a technology seminar at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul on the 27th.

At this event, Nuvoton introduced applications in five areas based on products recently released after completing the acquisition of Panasonic's semiconductor business: △MCU and HDMI-related IoT solutions for system control, △New energy solutions for battery management, △Audio-related smart home solutions for a more convenient daily life, △Visual sensing solutions for optimal safety, and △Smart IIoT solutions for industrial security.

Nuvoton offers over 800 MCU products featuring the 8051, Cortex®-M series, ARM9, Cortex®-A35, and AM cores. Its portfolio includes Cortex®-M audio SoCs, amplifiers, converters, and audio playback, as well as ChipCorder and audio quality enhancement solutions. In addition, it was revealed that it has secured various solutions such as △TMOS △GaN △Gerda △ToF △BMIC △Analog IC △HDMI.

In particular, the newly released Cortex®-A35 product includes various configuration options such as △up to 1GHz system frequency △support for various security, display and video, and high-speed connectivity I/O △up to 512MB DDR internal memory and external memory add-on △LQFP216, BGA312, and BGA 364 packages.

Nuvoton's MCUs feature low power consumption, 3.3V and 5V industrial compatibility, high core speeds, high reliability, and high security. They also support a variety of software and are pin-compatible across products, allowing customers to select products that best meet their diverse needs. Nuvoton emphasized that a free compiler is available for the Cortex®-M0 core family.

Meanwhile, Nuvoton is strengthening its regional services and global management by establishing branches in Korea, the United States, Japan, China, Israel, Singapore, and India, including its headquarters in Taiwan.
