Texas Instruments (TI) announced today that it is providing a list of application programming interfaces (APIs) that will enable manufacturers to access accurate, real-time inventory information for TI's analog and embedded processing products, making it easier for them to source components.

"Companies want to more accurately forecast supply needs and accelerate time-to-market. This requires direct collaboration with component suppliers," said Mark Roberts, vice president of global sales and marketing at TI. "As the first semiconductor company to launch an API, we're pleased to provide customers with real-time, accurate information on TI product inventory and a more convenient way to purchase."

The newly launched TI Store API allows customers to directly connect their existing purchasing systems to TI systems and quickly exchange data digitally. Using the TI API, customers can customize the ordering process to their existing processes and purchase TI products immediately when they are in stock. Purchasing teams save time and money and gain more accurate inventory information by accessing TI inventory data in real time.

TI Store API A faster, more automated ordering process can reduce the time and process required to order products. Order automation enables faster purchases, allowing purchasing managers to easily monitor inventory status and more accurately forecast actual supply needs.

We also provide a variety of resources, including API workflow integration guides and pre-developed starter code to support self-service connectivity and connection to the TI Store API. The TI E2E™ Design Support Forum is available for assistance with functional testing and implementation.

TI also offers a variety of payment options, helping customers manage their cash flow more efficiently. Orders placed through the TI Store API can be paid in over 15 currencies and with a variety of options, including bank transfer, Apruve, and 30-day credit terms. TI is registered as an importer in 45 countries, allowing customers to save on customs fees.

A consistent and convenient ordering process allows customers to streamline the ordering process by customizing order items similar to their own internal purchasing systems.
