SK Telecom (CEO Yoo Young-sang) announced on the 1st that it will reorganize its organization and appoint executives in 2023 to advance into an AI company.

CEO Yoo Young-sang explained the significance of the reorganization as, “This decision was made to establish the optimal organizational structure for SKT to be properly recognized for its value by the market and customers, and to solidify a leadership system equipped with the capabilities and expertise to enable responsible management.”

SKT CEO Yoo Young-sang will concurrently serve as the CEO of SK Broadband and work to create synergy between SKT and SKB. They will strengthen cooperation in all areas including brand and corporate culture, along with business areas such as wired and wireless communications, media, and enterprise.

In addition, SKT is strengthening the Chief Office function to enable responsible management based on capabilities and expertise. The policy is that each top-level organization will be responsible for services and functions by area, and focus on achieving the AI company's leap forward and financial story.
