Raising corporate awareness and establishing a positive brand image are crucial management priorities, even for companies primarily engaged in B2B business. Amidst the growing public interest in semiconductors, the brand reputation rankings of listed domestic semiconductor companies have been released.

According to the brand reputation of listed semiconductor companies published by the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix are holding the first and second place as the largest semiconductor companies in Korea, respectively, in the brand reputation index rankings from last year to February 2023.

As of February, the most recent, the top 10 companies were: Hanmi Semiconductor, SK Square, Reno Industrial, DB HiTek, Wonik IPS, Dongjin Semichem, Neon Tech, and Hana Micron.

Samsung Electronics recorded an overwhelmingly high reputation index every month. As of February, the reputation index was 45,011,843, which was found to be over 600% higher than that of SK Hynix, which ranked second.

Looking at the ranking trends, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix are firmly holding the top two spots. This is interpreted as a result of their overwhelming dominance over other mid-sized semiconductor companies, based on factors such as high brand recognition, sales, and activity levels.

The reputation rankings are fiercely contested for mid-level positions. Hanmi Semiconductor, SK Square, and DB HiTek consistently maintain positions in the top five, while Reno Industrial, a semiconductor component manufacturer, has recently shown steady upward momentum.

Dongjin Semichem and Wonik IPS are also consistently ranked within the top 10, demonstrating their recognition within the industry.

Meanwhile, the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute publishes a monthly big data-based brand reputation index. The index ranks listed companies across various industries, including semiconductors, displays, electronics, IT, and software. The index comprehensively evaluates brands through factors such as participation index, communication index, media index, community index, market index, and social contribution index.
