Microchip received approval for a grant of $42.4 million (approximately 5.5 billion KRW) in cooperation with the Business Oregon State Economic Development Agency and Multnomah County, Gresham, to expand its Oregon factory.

Currently, there are about 900 employees and 300 contract workers working at the Microchip Gresham campus, ranging from production workers to equipment and process engineers and technical staff in facilities and management.
