Texas Instruments (TI) is introducing a new family of MCUs that will help developers reduce development time and costs by reducing design time from months to days and offering the industry's lowest prices.

TI Korea (CEO Joong-Seo Park) held a media briefing at its TI Korea office on the 21st and introduced its scalable Arm® Cortex®-M0+ microcontroller (MCU) portfolio that provides a wide range of computing, pin-out, memory, and integrated analog options.

The newly announced MSPM0 MCU portfolio features dozens of new MCUs supported by intuitive software and design tools that reduce design time from months to days, helping designers spend less time evaluating and coding and more time innovating.

TI is building its MSPM0 portfolio into the industry’s most comprehensive family of Arm Cortex-M0+ MCUs, with plans to launch more than 100 MCU products this year.

Design engineers can choose from a wide range of compute options from 32 MHz to 80 MHz with compute acceleration and a variety of integrated analog signal chain components in a variety of configurations to fit their needs.

Here is the industry first zero Includes MCUs with drift operational amplifiers and precision 12-bit, 4MSPS analog-to-digital converters. This flexibility allows design engineers to plan for future designs while meeting current design requirements within a single MCU portfolio.

MSPM0 MCUs provide graphical tools and software, design support resources, and coding tools that simplify device configuration, allowing design engineers to code once and extend it to other MSPM0-based designs, saving months of design time.

Design engineers can improve system performance and memory utilization using the MSPM0 Software Development Kit (SDK). The software development kit provides a comprehensive experience with a variety of drivers, libraries, over 200 easy-to-use code examples, and subsystem reference designs.

TI's new MCU portfolio provides design engineers with cost-effective, easy-to-use embedded processors to solve any design challenge. TI embedded processors enable engineers to connect and control systems in an intelligent, reliable and secure manner while reducing cost and complexity.

TI's internal manufacturing investments will enable it to support all of its analog and embedded processing components, in addition to a diverse ecosystem of software, tools and training, to meet customer needs for decades to come.

The MSPM0L and MSPM0G MCUs are available now through TI.com and authorized distributors, with pricing starting at $0.39 in 1,000-unit quantities. These MCUs are available in multiple package sizes, with 16-pin to 32-pin package options and flash memory options ranging from 8 kB to 128 kB, and TI.com offers multiple payment and shipping options.
