Infineon Technologies AG (Korea President & CEO Seung-Soo Lee), a global leader in automotive semiconductors, and Delta Electronics, Inc., a global power and energy management company headquartered in Taiwan, are expanding their long-term collaboration from industrial to automotive applications.

Infineon announced on the 22nd that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Delta Electronics to strengthen joint innovation activities to provide more efficient, high-density solutions to the fast-growing electric vehicle (EV) market.

The agreement covers a wide range of components, including microcontrollers, high-voltage and low-voltage discretes, and modules used in EV drivetrain applications, including traction inverters, DC-DC converters, and onboard chargers.

The two companies also agreed to establish a joint innovation lab for automotive applications. The Delta-Infineon Automotive Innovation Center will be jointly operated by both companies and is scheduled to open in Pingzhen, Taiwan, in the second half of 2023.
