Mouser Electronics™, a leader in New Product Introduction (NPI) that drives innovation, recently announced that it is supplying Infineon Technologies’ MA2304xN MERUS™ multi-level switching amplifier products.
The MA2304xN MERUS™ series provides excellent power efficiency in both low-power and high-power applications for battery-powered designs for wireless and Bluetooth® speakers, soundbars, conference and multi-channel room audio systems.
Mouser Electronics has the latest Infineon product lineup, including the MA2304DNS and MA2304PNS amplifiers.
The MA2304DNS is a 2 × 37W audio amplifier product featuring a fully integrated and configurable DSP (Digital Signal Processing) along with an I2S/TDM (Time Division Multiplexing) audio interface.
This product features MERUS multi-level switching amplifier technology, providing excellent power efficiency in both low-power and high-power applications without the need for heatsinks or conventional LC filters.
Multilevel switching also reduces EMI (electromagnetic interference) and enables inductor-free applications at a lower cost without affecting audio performance or efficiency. A high-dimensional internal feedback loop ensures low THD (Total Harmonic Distortion), providing excellent audio performance.
The MA2304PNS provides simpler volume control and limiters for systems where application/connection processors perform audio processing. Therefore, the MA2304PNS is ideal for battery-powered speaker applications where extending battery life and/or reducing battery cell costs are critical. Featuring audio limiters and volume control capabilities that consume five times less ultra-low idle power than conventional Class D audio amplifiers, the MA2304PNS is also optimal for mains-powered multi-channel applications, facilitating design with reduced and scalable EMI performance without a heatsink.
The Infineon MA2304DNS and MA2304PNS are supported on the EVAL_AUDIO_MA2304DNS and EVAL_AUDIO_MA2304PNS evaluation boards. These evaluation boards allow users to demonstrate the capabilities of the MERUS amplifier, including energy efficiency, audio performance, and an adaptive power management system.
