Applied Materials Korea (President Park Kwang-sun), a global leader in materials engineering solutions, has been recognized for its significant contribution to job creation in Korea.

Applied was selected as a 'Korea's Best Job Creation Company' by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and held a plaque presentation ceremony at the Seongnam Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor on the 11th.


This is the third time Applied has been named a top employer, following 2020 and 2022.

The Korea Job Creation Excellence Award is a system that selects and awards certification plaques to companies that have created high-quality jobs and proactively improved the quality of jobs.

The Ministry of Employment and Labor identifies outstanding companies by conducting evaluations in various sectors, including consideration for jobs for youth and vulnerable groups, reform of wage systems, employment stability, and shared growth.

Applied Materials Korea, which employs over 2,100 people across 12 locations nationwide including Bundang, Hwaseong, Pyeongtaek, Icheon, and Cheonan, has hired hundreds of talented individuals over the past three years. In particular, a large number of them were new employees, contributing significantly to job creation for young people.

In addition, Applied operates various systems to promote work-life balance, such as staggered work hours, early departures on Family Days, and professional counseling support for employees and their families. Furthermore, the company is committed to strengthening employee capabilities by conducting joint talent development programs in collaboration with clients and semiconductor-related organizations, and by introducing specialized job competency development programs linked with its U.S. headquarters.
