Alchera, a company specializing in image recognition artificial intelligence (AI), announced on the 15th at the 16th 'Convergence Technology Symposium (ConTech)' held at KINTEX in Ilsan that it would introduce its AI technology used in the disaster safety industry and explore ways to contribute to the revitalization of related industries.

Hwang Young-kyu, CEO of Alchera, introduced the company's core AI technology, Smart Viewing, which includes facial recognition, behavior recognition, and anomaly detection, and explained how each technology can be utilized in rapidly changing disaster environments.

In particular, Alchera shared how it protects lives, property, and the environment from disasters through its AI early wildfire detection solution, 'FireScout'. FireScout is characterized by high accuracy, stability, and efficiency, as it operates using data accumulated from the actual field.

This solution has been adopted by government agencies and energy companies in the United States and Australia and is playing an active role in wildfire prevention worldwide. When abnormal signs such as smoke are detected, the AI ​​rapidly analyzes CCTV footage to determine if there is a fire and notifies the wildfire monitoring center.

In the first half of this year alone, it detected approximately 22,000 fires during both day and night, and in the case of a nighttime fire in Washoe County, Nevada in July, it recognized the fire in just one minute, supporting a rapid initial response. Alchera's AI technology can be used to detect indoor fires in addition to wildfires. It is also expected to be applied to fire detection in electric vehicle charging stations, logistics warehouses, and factories, contributing to minimizing damage to local communities.

In addition, Alchera participated in the launch ceremony of the 'Gyeonggi Disaster Safety Solution Industry Promotion Council,' held as part of the symposium. The council consists of 19 companies and organizations, including Alchera, the Convergence Institute, LIG ​​Systems, Lotte E&C, Lotte Data Communication, and Kolon Global. They plan to cooperate for information sharing and technological advancement to modernize the disaster safety industry.

This symposium was held under the theme of 'Gyeonggi Province's Response Strategy for Industrial Revitalization in the Disaster Safety Sector.'
