The 2023 AIoT International Exhibition was held, introducing a large number of convergence technologies in daily life.

SKT demonstrated a solution that provides generative AI services tailored to the IT environment of each company by fine-tuning the AI speaker NUGU, the intelligent AI location analysis service, and the self-developed LLM, the Adot Foundation model.

KETI presented on-device AI patrol services applied to drones and robots, digital twin object configuration and data processing platform technology, open source IoT platform 3.0 and OCEAN achievements, AIoT network integrated management and IoT platform technology.


Innomotive showcased solutions for micromobility. At the booth, they demonstrated a battery pack that can be connected to all micromobility and a battery-swappable multi-purpose electric vehicle.

Meanwhile, at the AIoT conference, a total of 28 presentations will be held in 5 tracks and 8 sessions under the theme of 'The Core of Digital Transformation, AIoT Technology Trends and Growth Strategies.' IoT business opportunities in the era of hyper-large AI, the government's AIoT promotion policy, and an explanation of Matter, a global standard for intelligent home interconnection, are presented. In addition, technology trends, AIoT technology application cases, and AIoT security are introduced.

■ Commax, AI Smart Home Solution

At this event, Commax participated in the consortium and introduced a smart home demonstration project utilizing Matter devices and AI intelligent platforms.

Last August, the Ministry of Science and ICT announced the ‘Intelligent Home (AI@Home) Construction and Expansion Plan’ and decided to support the creation of a private-sector-led intelligent home collaboration ecosystem. To this end, in the first step, we support verification of services that connect and control various devices such as home appliances, lighting, and ventilators based on Matter.

Commax will participate in the verification as a homenet company and, together with LH Construction, LG Electronics, Clio, and Chorok Soft, will verify healthcare services through sensors and device linkage based on Matter standards. Hyundai Construction, Hyundai HT, Samsung Electronics, and Goqual will develop devices and services such as entrance doors, lighting, and air conditioners based on Matter standards.

Commax is a cloud and single server-based smart home solution that maximizes connectivity and convenience through Matter standard integration and implements a more usable smart home service by incorporating AI-based care services.

The main product is a Matter-based wall pad. The current products are applied up to the Matter 1.1 standard, and the 1.2 update is coming soon. In addition, there are wall pads, door cameras, IoT emergency call temperature and humidity buttons, etc. For example, the intelligent body detection radar sensor is installed on the wall without contact to check a person's heartbeat, breathing, or sleep. This can be monitored remotely by a guardian and can deliver notifications in an emergency situation.

“When Matter is applied, consumer choices will increase in the existing closed smart home structure, allowing them to bring in external devices and connect them, or use mobile apps on the platforms of their choice without being dependent on the platform,” said Hwang In-cheol, CEO of Commax.

Commax goes beyond simple function-centered home networks to service-centered smart homes, changing the concept of living environments and providing total smart home solutions.
