Dell and Meta join forces to help enterprises deploy generative AI on-premises.

Dell Technologies announced today that it is collaborating with Meta to enable easy on-premises deployment of its large-scale language model Llama 2 through Dell's GenAI portfolio of IT infrastructure, client devices, and professional services.

This collaboration aims to simplify on-premises AI environments by combining Dell's infrastructure solutions portfolio with the Rama 2 AI model suite. This will enable customers to more quickly deploy generative AI in on-premises data centers and edge environments. Dell will integrate Meta's Rama 2 models into its system sizing tool, enabling customers to leverage the optimal solution to enhance Rama 2-based AI capabilities.

Dell Validated Design for Generative AI with Meta's Llama 2 simplifies the deployment and management of on-premises projects with pre-tested and validated Dell infrastructure, software, and services. Documented build and configuration guidance enables organizations to quickly build generative AI infrastructure and operate Rama 2 with high predictability.

“By combining Metarama 2 with the broad range of Dell generative AI solution technologies and services, organizations of all sizes can deploy generative AI solutions across a variety of locations – from the desktop to the core data center, edge, and public cloud – using reliable tools,” the companies said.
