Arm is making a strategic investment in Raspberry Pi to strengthen its influence in the development environment driven by the proliferation of the Internet of Things and AI.

Arm Holdings and Raspberry Pi Ltd announced on the 2nd (local time) that they have agreed that Arm will execute a strategic investment in Raspberry Pi.

Through this agreement, Arm will acquire a minority stake in Raspberry Pi and seek to expand the long-term partnership between the two companies in collaborating to provide core solutions for the Internet of Things (IoT) developer community.

As demand for edge computing accelerates with the proliferation of increasingly complex IoT and AI applications, Raspberry Pi's solutions provide the benefits of low-cost and high-performance computing to people and enterprises worldwide. The partnership between the two companies, which began in 2008, has been further solidified through this investment.

Arm-based Raspberry Pi, which is popular among students, enthusiasts, and commercial developers, saw its latest flagship product, Raspberry Pi 5, launched at the end of October.

Arm stated that this strategic investment is another testament to Arm's continued efforts towards the developer community and partnership with Raspberry Pi.
