Om Nalamasu, Senior Vice President and CTO of Applied Materials, a global leader in materials engineering solutions, highlights the company's efforts to lead the growth of the Korean semiconductor industry by striving for sustainable technology development through collaboration with domestic companies.

Applied announced that CTO Om Naramasu will attend the 'Invest Korea Summit 2023' held in Busan on the 7th as a keynote speaker.

Dr. Naramasu also serves as the president of Applied Ventures, Applied Materials' corporate venture capital (CVC).

The Invest Korea Summit, marking its 19th edition this year, is the largest foreign investment attraction event in Korea, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) and Invest Korea. This year's event will be held at BEXCO in Busan from November 6 to 8.

Dr. Naramasu will deliver a keynote speech on the theme of "Accelerating Sustainable Growth through Deep Tech Collaboration."

In his keynote speech, he is expected to provide meaningful insights into the growth drivers of the Korean semiconductor industry, the Korean investment environment, and success stories of Applied Ventures' portfolio companies.

Applied Ventures established two Korean funds in collaboration with Korea Venture Investment. In April of this year, it co-hosted 'ASTRA (Applied Startup Technology and Research Accelerator) Korea 2023' with KOTRA, providing Korean startups with the opportunity to introduce their products and technologies to Applied Ventures and Korean VCs. To date, Applied Ventures has invested in a total of nine domestic startups, including three that have successfully gone public.
