Microchip announced on the 15th that it has launched a new MPLAB® XC-DSC compiler.

MPLAB XC-DSC, the most recent addition to Microchip's compiler family, is optimized to enable developers to write and debug high-performance code for the dsPIC DSC family more easily and efficiently.

The dsPIC family combines the high performance required for digital signal processor (DSP) applications with the simplicity of standard microcontrollers (MCUs) to meet the requirements of time-sensitive embedded applications.

The MPLAB XC-DSC Compiler PRO license enables optimization to minimize code size, generate faster code, and reduce memory and power requirements, helping to maximize the performance of DSC designs.

Unlike existing licensing options, Microchip offers various options to access software on a project-by-project or as needed, allowing developers to reduce costsIt provides strong flexibility to help you find a solution that fits your purpose.

License options supported for using the MPLAB XC-DSC compiler include Workstation License, Network Server License, Subscription License, and Site License.

The MPLAB XC compiler supports Linux, macOS®, and Windows® operating systems, and developers can select and use the platform they want for embedded development.

The MPLAB XC compiler simplifies the design process and shortens time-to-market by providing an integrated toolchain consisting of a compatible compiler and debugger/programmer that operates seamlessly within the MPLAB X Integrated Development Environment (IDE).
